Mike Powell has over 15 years of experience in the machine readable news business. As a former managing director at Thomson Reuters, Mike was responsible for their global enterprise business, encompassing open platform technology, real-time and big data, streaming analytics, machine readable news, and cloud based managed services.
Mike’s advisory role at CCINT focusses on the targeting of the CCINT datafeed towards existing finance organizations. His extensive network of news feed vendors and their customers is expected to provide CCINT with a considerable competitive advantage.
Mike has spent over 25 years in the financial services industry, with previous firms including Nomura International, as part of the Japanese equities team in London, and Bloomberg.
Currently Mike is the founder of Inkblue, an advisory and consultancy firm focused on the fintech, data and analytics sectors. Working with several international clients, primarily in the capital markets segment of financial services, Inkblue specializes in strategy creation, ‘go to market’ planning, and business development.
In addition, Mike is mentor of the Barclays Fintech accelerator program and currently chairs the advisory board for Simudyne, a tech start-up that provides a scalable simulation platform enabling complex models and artificial intelligence to support business-critical decisions.
